The term birdwatching means the observation of birds in the wild. It is a hobby that counts legions of passionate followers around the world, especially in the English speaking countries.
Italy has the highest level of biodiversity in Europe and therefore offers many opportunities for eco-tourism, not just birdwatching, but also for the observation of flora and fauna in general.
Getting back to birds, our country boasts a list of 551 species, of which 287 also nest here; no fewer than 331 species have been observed here in Oltrepò Pavese and about 130 species have been spotted within the borders of the municipality of Ponte Nizza alone.
Happy exploration!
